Description:

The Parkersburg Area Coalition for the Homeless (House to Home) strives to help those in the community who are homeless. They develop, through public education and community organization, the political strength necessary to combat the underlying cause of homelessness. The House to Home is a drop-in day center/shelter. The drop-in center offers homeless clients the use of their mailing address so they may receive important correspondence, a telephone, computers for job and housing searches, laundry facilities, and shower facilities. They offer snacks, drinks, and a calm atmosphere along with assistance with employment and housing. They assist with obtaining funds for medical needs; doctor, optometrist (prescription glasses), dentist, and medication prescriptions.
